What the Warranty Covers

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of your FlipStart® PC, the AC adapter and the rechargeable battery.

How Long the Warranty Lasts

The warranty for the FlipStart lasts one year from the date of shipment or until you sell or transfer your FlipStart, whichever occurs first. The warranty for your rechargeable battery and AC adapter lasts 90 days from the date of shipment. Only the original purchaser is covered by this warranty.

We will repair or replace, at our sole option, the defective unit or part with a new or refurbished unit or part.

VULCAN PORTALS INC. MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE PERIOD OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

YOUR REMEDIES ARE LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AT OUR SOLE OPTION. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE, PURCHASE OR REPAIR OF THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING DAMAGES FROM LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, AND LOSS OF USE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

How To Get Service

To obtain warranty service, call 800-399-3037. When you call, you will be asked for the model number, the serial number and the shipment date. You may be required to provide a copy of your receipt as proof of warranty coverage. You will be given an RMA number and instructions for returning the product. You must ship the product in the original or other secure packaging and clearly display the RMA number on the outside of the package. You must pay to ship the product to the service center, and you will bear the risk of any loss or damage that occurs in transit. Before sending your FlipStart for service, you should back up all data, personal or confidential information, programs and settings. We are not responsible for the loss or corruption of any information stored on your computer.

We will repair or replace the product and ship it back to you at our expense. Parts or units replaced under this warranty become the property of Vulcan Portals Inc. Replacement parts and units are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days or the remainder of the Limited Warranty, whichever is longer.

Resolving Warranty Disputes

If any dispute arises under this warranty, you may not file suit under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act until you first submit your claim to the American Arbitration Association (AAA) for non-binding arbitration. You may be entitled to file suit under state laws without waiting.

You will be asked to identify the parties and to provide a brief description of the nature of the dispute and the relief you seek. Upon receiving your request, AAA will notify us and ask for our response. If we disagree with your complaint, AAA will arrange for arbitration under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator will render a decision within 40 days of receiving notice of the dispute, except as otherwise provided by federal law or agreement of the parties.
